Zusammenfassung |
We tried to review the observational data of the lunar crustal magnetic fields and consider the current view of the Moon surface magnetization and the effects occurring in the plasma surrounding of the Moon due to weak magnetic fields of lunar origin. In particular, the origin of magnetic anomalies and their relation to the shock magnetization is considered and studies are pointed on the physical phenomena ongoing above the magnetized region of lunar surface.
The Russian Lunar mission Luna-Glob scheduled to launch in 2011 includes the Moon orbiter as an element of the mission which will allow investigating those phenomena. The scenario of orbiter operations and appropriate payload flown on its board are presented.
