| Albeit a relatively small community, Dutch scientists have been an integral and active component of the various international drilling programs (DSDP/ODP/ IODP and IMAGES), Interests in, and enthusiasm for the program(s), also for the future, are strong. In this contribution, we summarize ideas about the near future of European and global ocean drilling from the Dutch perspective, as gathered from recent national meetings of the community, and from the Netherlands IODP committee. |
