| In this presentation we determine and compare the time-dependent behavior of dispersion coefficients $D_t$ for transport in formations with conductivity fields characterized by both single as well as evolving scales of heterogeneity.
Often the question of how reliable ensemble mean values are characterizing single formations is not investigated.
Here, we particularly focus on that question and examine the ergodicity and self-averging behavior of the dispersion coefficients. |
