Zusammenfassung |
Local Singularity Analysis (LSA) is a statistical method to emphasize the relative importance of very small or very high concentrations of target materials in geological sampling campaigns. Through LSA such occurrences and their spatial distributions are specifically highlighted in geological concentration maps and thus assist exploration geoscientists in identifying new resources. However, very few geoscientists apply LSA today. This paper explores the potentials of applying LSA for exploration geoscientists and for practitioners in other scientific fields on the one hand and the reasons why Earth scientists are hesitant to apply this technique on the other. Some recommendations will be presented at the end of this paper. |
