The Baltic Sea IODP Expedition 347 "Baltic Sea Paleoenvironment" - preliminary results from the cruise
During second half of September and October was seven sites in the Baltic Basin area successfully cored during the IODP Expedition 347. From the Little Baelt, Kattegatt, Bornholm basin, Hanö Bay, Landsort Deep and the mouth of Ångermanälven sites was altogether more than 1900 meters drilled and over 1600 meters of sediment core recovered. These cores have been lithologically described and documented as well as partly analyzed during the cruise. The preliminary results from this will be presented together with some more general impressions from the cruise and the offshore work. |
