Zusammenfassung |
As a part of the EU FP7 MAARBLE project a database of derived high-level wave products is developed based on data from several satellites crossing the Earth's radiation belts. Within the year this database will be available to the entire scientific community via the Cluster Active Archive. Based on the database we perform a statistical study of EMIC waves in the Earth's magnetosphere using data from both the Cluster and THEMIS spacecraft. A spatial distribution of EMIC wave occurrence is presented, as well as EMIC wave dependence on geomagnetic activity. Additionally, distributions of EMIC wave properties, such as ellipticity, propagation parameters, and wave intensity are shown. |
