Zusammenfassung |
Aerosols are an important component of the climate system. They are complex in nature, heterogeneously distributed in space and time due to relatively short lifetimes in the atmosphere and have a large uncertainty in optical properties and impacts on clouds. There is a growing body of observations and data from climate models to better understand how aerosols affect the climate system. Using observations and climate model data, we compare variations in aerosol and meteorological variables to gain insight into the potential influence of aerosols on selected indicators of atmospheric circulation and weather phenomenon (storms, tropical cyclones). |
