Zusammenfassung |
We present an analysis of the coronal mass ejections (CMEs) events which are associated with solar flares having seismic signatures in solar cycle 23 (SC23). We focus on the events which arrived at the Earth and produced geomagnetic storms.
Using a study proposed by Srivastava (2006) we developed a logistic regression model to predict the occurrence of the major geomagnetic storms (Dst < -150 nT) during SC23. We intend to extend this model for prediction of moderate and intense storms by using the parameters of the solar events described above. |
