| We analyze the ICAT normalized hurricane damage record for trends, and linkages to common hurricane teleconnections. No significant trends are found in the distribution of damages. However, there is a significant increasing trend in the frequency of extreme damage events, assuming that the distribution of damages have remained stationary. |
