The Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model has been released to
the community since December 2000. Over the past 12 years, the model
has become a popular research tool, and attracted researchers and
developers from many disciplines and over 150 countries.
In recent years, there have been improvements added to
the model in addition to numerous new options and capabilities.
These improvements were based on extensive testing and evaluation of the model
in real-time forecasting. In this presentation, we are going to show a
few examples of the improvements, and how they may help improve the forecast
of high impact weather. |
