| There are indications that the Sun is entering a less active stage and the implications of this scenario for the future global climate and ozone are of great interest. The solar activity affects the Earth’s climate system through the changes of the different forcing mechanisms such as solar irradiance and different energetic particles. These forcings will be introduced in the talk together with the analysis of their uncertainties for the past, present and future conditions. The implications of the solar activity changes for the past, present and future climate will be illustrated using the observation data analysis and the results of different model experiments. Special attention will be paid to the potential mechanisms responsible for the tropospheric climate response. |
