Zusammenfassung |
One of the main objectives of the FP7 EU CLUVA Project is to set a quantitative multi-risk assessment framework considering climate-related hazards and multiple vulnerabilities on African urban areas, with the possibility to analyze climate change scenarios. The main problems that are faced and discussed are: (1) the integration of different climate-related hazards and analysis of possible cascading effects at hazard level; (2) the analysis of effects on different kinds of exposed elements, ranging from physical structures, green areas (crops), to intangible effects due to social context; (3) special attention has been devoted to the quantification and propagation of uncertainties arising at each step of the risk assessment process. We present some preliminary results in an application of the approach to a test case in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. |
