| Zusammenfassung |
| The MOZAIC program has produced the densest set of vertical profiles of tropospheric ozone over Europe since 1994, and of CO since 2002. Elsewhere, the program has provided an intermittent, but nevertheless valuable, climatology for these gases. I will discuss several applications of these measurements, including (1) validation of global models, (2) consistency of time series of MOZAIC, sonde, and mountain-top ozone over Europe, and (3) validation of MLS data in the upper troposphere. The three years of transit flights from Europe to Namibia are particularly valuable for MLS validation. |
