Zusammenfassung
Within the Seventh Framework Program the EURO4M project (European Reanalysis and Observations for Monitoring) is an European capacity for monitoring climate change and extremes. The collaborative project will develop the best possible and most complete (gridded) time series and monitoring services covering Europe in combination with regional observation datasets and model based reanalysis. An important component of EURO4M is to establish a climate liaison team (CLT). The objective of this team is to implement and carry on an user interaction loop in order to optimize the EURO4M climate data production and services regarding to user needs. In order to cover the wide range of climate data users, the CLT will consist of representatives from NGO’s, business, media and science. The team is acting as a cross-cutting interface between EURO4M products and user feedbacks to continuously improve the products and services at the best by exchanging expertise. In this context DWD will also train users in the handling of EURO4M products and services through workshops, e-learning modules, podcasts and user guides covering different skill levels. The existing core GMES services will be actively involved in the CLT. In this context we present and discuss the current work of the CLT and give an outlook on activities planned for the future.
