| This study performs sets of hindcast and forecast experiments using a new version of the coupled climate model namely FGOALS_g developed at LASG/IAP to examine the predictability of the PDO. Different assimilation methods is used to improve the initialization of the model, the results show that an initialization of the upper-ocean state using historical observations is effective for hindcasts of the PDO and has a positive impact on the future predictions. |
