| Recent work has shown that many climate variables in the Mediterranean basin, including temperature, precipitation and river runoff, are strongly teleconnected to both the African and Indian monsoons. Thus, paleo proxy records of these fields may act as recorders of ancient monsoons. However, it is not yet clear which fields are most influenced, and where in the basin these influences are most strongly felt. I will present an investigation
into these questions using both present-day observational data and climate model results. |
