| We compare the spectral characteristics and the structure functions of higher order of a variety of laboratory and field (geo and astrophysical)experiments, when there is a clear interaction between wave activity(Internal, Wave breaking, Boundary induced, Alfen, etc..) and a turbulent cascade. We discuss the effect of non-homogeneity and the different ranges of scaling (width of inertial subrange versus position of the wavenumber, presence of resonances, etc..) as well as the possible intermitency measures in these complex, but realistic turbulent flows. |
