| Results of the comparison of the simulations performed with RegCM and RegCM-beta version at 10 km resolution over Romania domain centered at 46N;23.5E for the period 1961- 2000 are discussed. The models were driven by ERA-40 reanalysis and validated against CRU observation data set and observations at selected station from Romania both for temperature and precipitation.
The improvements and the drawbacks in the results of simulations for both RegCMs are pointed out and the possible causes the two responses are investigated. The framework of this study is the EC-FP6 Project CECILIA - Central and Eastern Europe Climate Change Impact and Vulnerability Assessment. |
