| Foehn across the Brenner Pass into the central Alpine Wipp Valley has been
studied intensively both climatologically and in field experiments (e.g. ALPEX
and MAP). Further west is another pass, Pass Reschen, of similar altitude but
with a differently shaped downstream valley. Recent measurements there allow a
comparison of the foehn regimes in both valleys.
An extension of an objective classification methodology for compiling foehn
statistics will also be presented. |
