Zusammenfassung
We describe the new TCCON site located at Wollongong, Australia (34.5°S, 150°E), which provides important southern hemisphere mid-latitude validation of the OCO and GOSAT satellites. The Wollongong site has been performing solar FTS measurements as a member of NDACC since 1996, but recently underwent an instrument upgrade to enable NIR measurements and the high-precision necessary for satellite validation. Here we discuss the time-series of measurements obtained in the NIR since the 1st measurements made in May 2008. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the time series of xCO2 and xCH4, determined via NIR solar remote sensing are presented.
