| We review recent estimates of Earth's global energy balance at top-of-atmosphere and surface. Recent observations from SORCE and CERES are compared with earlier observations and with model simulations. Observational uncertainties and natural variability are considered. Special attention is given to new estimates of the global net absorbed radiation associated with planetary heating, and global warming. |
